Job Description | Role and Responsibilities
Develop and implement category sourcing strategies for key ingredients, raw materials (API, excipients), and packaging materials, ensuring timely availability to support production.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, evaluate their performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to ensure smooth and efficient procurement processes.
Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and supply agreements with vendors to achieve optimal pricing and delivery schedules.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through effective sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain management.
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
Candidate Profile | Who Can Apply
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in procurement within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with experience in raw materials, packaging, and/or capital equipment procurement.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, contract negotiation, and relevant regulations (e.g., GMP, FDA).
