Job Description | Role and Responsibilities
Be self motivated and take on project work with a clear focus on timeliness, quality and
technical excellence;
Be responsible for planning own work and carrying out self-checks;
Liaise with the WSP UK internal clients and Local CRC Head to ensure that project
requirements are fully understood and essential elements of the role are satisfactorily completed to time and fee;
Follow accepted methods and legislation (including CDM) and operate in accordance with
WSPs corporate health & safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards;
Participate in team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP;
Demonstrate an awareness of project risk issues, flagging potential problems to team leader; and
Prepare elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by the senior team member, within agreed deadlines and standards.
Candidate Profile | Who Can Apply
The ability to anticipate and interpret ground conditions and to develop accurate ground models from site investigation and desk study information.
Significant experience of geotechnical analysis design of earthworks and structures for example shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls and slopes.
A self-motivated team player with the ability to lead inter-disciplinary teams.
The ability to produce work of a high standard with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams maintaining and developing relationships to ensure the successful delivery of projects
