- Create original designs for children's apparel, considering age-appropriateness and safety.
- Stay informed about current fashion trends in children's wear.
- Develop sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings to visualize and document designs.
- Choose fabrics, colors, patterns, and trims suitable for children's clothing.
- Oversee the creation of sample garments and participate in fittings to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Work with production teams to ensure designs are accurately reproduced.
- Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other team members, maintaining organized design files and documentation.
- Bachelors degree in textile design, fashion design, textile engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in Excel/MS Office, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience with creating tech packs, technical drawings, size charts, and fabric selection is crucial.
