Job Description | Role and Responsibilities
- Develop scripts and automation tools to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
- Install and configure applications and underlying software infrastructure
- Provide tool awareness and services to help teams manage and deploy releases into various environments.
- Automate repetitive & manual tasks and improve operational maturity with our CI/CD systems
- Scale systems through automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and performance
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage releases across the enterprise for multiple applications including updates, security improvements, projects, and programs.
- Maintain build and release services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
- Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
- Collaborate with other Engineering and IT colleagues to provide streamlined CI/CD solutions
- Provide leadership in development and architecture of systems using serverless and container technologies to enable migration to AWS and Azure cloud-based services
Candidate Profile | Who Can Apply
- Operation and architecture of multi-tier distributed systems Involving load balancers, caching layers and real-time event processing.
- Knowledge and understanding of network, compute, and storage systems in Azure & AWS
- Experience with container-based systems running in a Kubernetes environment. Azure AKS and Amazon EKS preferred.
- Experience with virtualization solutions like VMWare, Azure & Azure Stack, AWS, or Google Cloud Compute
- Well versed with Azure DevOps (VSTS) and Jenkins build and release automation tools
- Experience with work item tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and VersionOne
- Well versed with Azure offerings including App Services, Function Apps, SQL PaaS, Storage accounts, AKS, Service Bus, and Key Vault
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, or AWS CloudFormation
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft platform (IIS, .NET, Web Services, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows Server, Clustering, Active Directory)
- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Enterprise
- Experience with cloud-based technologies including containers, autoscaling, and serverless systems.
- Experienced in scripting languages including PowerShell and Bash is required
- Experience with other languages such as Node.js, Python, and C# a plus
- Experience deploying multiple application types including .NET Core, .NET, iOS, Android, C++, React, Java, etc.
- Familiarity with T-SQL and SQL Server is a plus
- Familiarity with document databases such as Dynamo DB, Cosmos DB, or Mongo DB is a plus
- Be accountable for the end-to-end planning and execution of one or more projects and/or Agile teams
- Ask thoughtful questions to help our customers, product owners, and product managers to maximize ROI and meet company objectives.
- Understand product strategy and benefits of key deliverables in his/her area of responsibility
- Work with product owner to promote and contribute to the improvement of the product backlog
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and other scrum ceremonies
- 8+ years of CI/CD, DevOps experience with good understanding on Software configuration Management
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Must demonstrate a history of successfully delivering high quality software products from inception to market.
- Ability to deliver scalable and highly available applications via AWS and Azure
- AWS and Azure certifications preferred
- Ability to work independently with light supervision
- Proficient in at least one agile project management tool: Jira, Jira service desk
- Version One, etc.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
