Pahlé India is dedicated to the task of taking India to the top rung of country economic rankings in the world within this century. The aim is to contribute to the needed paradigm shift in development thinking and practices in India to achieve this aspirational goal. Pahle India's mission is to contribute innovative ideas for designing the road map for India becoming a high-income country by 2050 when it celebrates the centenary of the Republic. In designing this road map it roots itself in the Indian experience; draws upon the globally best available economic, social and political analysis on sustainable prosperity; and draws lessons from success stories of sustainable development from within India.
